"My work primarily explores the experience of being human within the context of a broader ecosystem. Color, texture and paint allow me to inhabit this infinite ecology through themes of nature, the passage of time, and spirituality. While my process is not based conceptually on political/gender/national identities, I use all to freely to explore the sensation of and meaning behind being human. I am drawn to the literature and art of ancient and diverse cultures (Vedic, Greek, Roman etc.) for an understanding of contemporary experience. My goal as an artist is to express, through all my work, the inarticulable, inchoate and eternal."
