Susan Adamé

Susan Adamé's paintings are reflective of life's impermanence and the desire to capture fleeting moments. Her figures relate to each other through simplified gestures; a tilt of the head or proximity to the other. Her landscapes guide the viewer's eye to a focal point while lovingly playing with the atmosphere surrounding it. A Bay Area native, the artist's tonal color pallet, rife with grays, alongside her process of covering and exposing, can lend a fog-like quality to her images.

“I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way... things I had no words for.”
